🧾 What Is White Silica Gel?

White silica gel is a desiccant — a drying agent used to absorb moisture from the surrounding air.
It comes as hard, translucent or milky-white beads or granules made from amorphous silicon dioxide (SiO₂).

It’s non-toxic, non-reactive, and chemically stable, making it ideal for protecting goods from humidity.

⚙️ Composition

• Main ingredient: Silicon dioxide (SiO₂)

• Form: Granular or spherical beads

• Moisture absorption capacity: 25–40% of its own weight

• Odor & taste: Odorless and tasteless

• Color: White (turns slightly opaque when saturated with moisture)

• High moisture absorption ability

• Non-corrosive, non-deliquescent (doesn’t liquefy easily)

• Reusable after heating (around 120 °C–150 °C)
